Placing Your Order

I live off-campus. Can you pick up my things?
No. We only pick up customers from on-campus dormitories. However, if you choose an on-campus pickup and delivery site and bring your stuff there, we can accommodate you.

What if I don't know my fall address prior to your picking up my things?
If you don't know your delivery address at the time of pickup, please write "Future Dorm Unknown" on your labels and boxes and let us know where to take your stuff as soon as possible.

Payment

Are the prices per month or for the summer?
These prices include pickup, a full summer's worth of storage, and return.

Do you accept credit cards?  The checkout process takes me to Paypal.
We do accept credit cards.  When you get to the Paypal page, click the link for non-members and you will be taken to a screen where you can enter your billing information and complete your order.

Are there any additional fees?
In certain cases. The Dormside Depot charges additional fees only in cases where we incur additional costs due to accommodate customers who do not follow the terms of the service. Almost all fees can be avoided if you plan ahead of time. Most importantly, make sure you are in your room during your scheduled delivery time. See our Terms and Conditions for more information on fees.

Pickup and Delivery

What date and time will my items be picked up and dropped off?
After you place your order, your campus representative will send you an e-mail with the available pickup dates and timeslots for your college.  Choose one.  One month before Fall delivery dates, your campus representative will contact you again to schedule a delivery date and timeslot.

What is a timeslot?
A timeslot is a  2-3 hour periods in which we will be picking up or dropping off items at your part of campus.  We ask that you be ready for us to stop by during this time.

Do you pickup directly at my door?
Yes. If you want to speed up the pickup process, you can be ready with your stuff outside your dormitory at the beginning of the time slot. The timeslot schedule will tell you which entrance we will be at. (And we really appreciate this!)

What if I can't be present for a pickup or delivery?
E-mail your campus representative to see if something can be arranged. You can have a friend be a substitute for you, but we must receive their name by e-mail 24 hours in advance of the pickup or delivery date. Your substitute will need to have proof of identification and will be responsible for affirming that your items have been picked up and/or delivered. You may NOT leave items unattended.

Will you have extra box labels when you come to my room?
During move-out week, we may have extra supplies on our trucks. However, we do not guarantee that we will have any supplies left, so please let us know if you need additional labels as early as possible.
